Loosie's Kitchen // NYC
Tucked beneath the Williamsburg Bridge, Loosie's Kitchen felt less like a restaurant and more like a neighborhood gathering place. The vibe was relaxed, creative, and effortlessly cool—everything you would expect from Williamsburg. Guests came for comforting, fresh food, whether it was a leisurely weekend brunch or a lively dinner shared among friends.
Over the two years I worked with Loosie's, I had the privilege of documenting not only the food, but also the people and energy that made the restaurant so special. The lush greenery, eclectic interiors, communal tables, and warm atmosphere created endless opportunities for storytelling through photography.
During my time at Loosie's, I had the opportunity to work alongside two talented chefs who each left their mark on the kitchen. First was Henry Lu, whose thoughtful approach to seasonal cooking helped shape many of the dishes I photographed. He is now the chef at JUN in Houston. Later, Facundo Kairuz took over the kitchen, bringing his own creativity and passion to the menu. Today, he works as a private chef and BBQ expert in Miami.
